Despite sharing this world with us, cats live by their own rules that they made up themselves. No matter how much you try to understand how their brains function, you will never be able to come to a logical conclusion that explains why they do the things they do.
It has been "proven" that the laws of physics don't work on cats, they just do their own thing and it seems to be working out for them perfectly. That's why they have nine lives, they somehow managed to hack life and gave themselves more lives.
